Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to Sri Sai ITI must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and the State Directorate of Employment and Training. Eligibility requirements may vary by trade; the general criteria applicable to most CTS trades are outlined below.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification (most trades): Passed Class 10 (Secondary School Certificate / Matriculation) from a recognised Board.
- For select trades: Passed Class 8 (Middle School) from a recognised institution, as specified in the NCVT trade norms for that particular trade.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may apply provisionally, subject to submission of the passing certificate at the time of document verification.
Age Criteria
- Minimum Age: 14 years as on the date of commencement of the academic session (as per NCVT guidelines).
- Maximum Age: As prescribed by the State Directorate of Employment and Training / Government of Gujarat for the relevant session. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and other categories as per government norms.
Other Conditions
- Candidates must be Indian nationals.
- Domicile/residence requirements, if any, are as per the state government’s admission policy for the relevant session.
- Candidates must be medically fit to undertake the trade training. A medical fitness certificate may be required at the time of admission.
- Candidates must not have been previously admitted to the same trade at any ITI, unless otherwise permitted under the applicable rules.
Trade-Specific Eligibility
Specific educational qualification requirements (e.g., Science and Mathematics at Class 10 level for certain engineering trades) vary by trade. Candidates are advised to refer to the official NCVT/DGT trade norms or contact the institute’s admissions office for trade-specific eligibility details.
