Examination Schedule

The examination schedule for the All India Trade Test (AITT) under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is published by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / Directorate General of Training (DGT) each session. Sri Sai ITI communicates the official examination schedule to all eligible trainees through the Notice Board and official announcements.

Types of Examinations

• AITT — All India Trade Test (CTS Mains) — The final trade examination conducted by NCVT at the end of the training course. Successful candidates are awarded the National Trade Certificate (NTC). The AITT is typically conducted in two sessions per year, subject to the official schedule published by NCVT/DGT.
• Periodic / Internal Assessments — Internal assessments are conducted by the institute throughout the training period to evaluate trainees’ progress in trade theory and practical components.

Examination Pattern

The AITT examination comprises:

• Trade Theory: Written examination covering theoretical knowledge of the trade.
• Trade Practical: Practical examination assessing hands-on skills and competencies.
• Employability Skills: Assessment of the employability skills component as prescribed by DGT.
