State Board Affiliation

In addition to its affiliation with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Sri Sai ITI operates in compliance with the regulatory framework established by the State Directorate of Employment and Training, Government of Gujarat. State-level recognition ensures that the institute meets the standards prescribed by the state authority for vocational training institutions operating within Gujarat.

Role of the State Directorate of Employment & Training

The Directorate of Employment and Training (DET), operating under the state government, is responsible for:

Granting permission and recognition to Industrial Training Institutes within the state.
Overseeing compliance with infrastructure, staffing, and training norms at the state level.
Coordinating with NCVT/DGT for the conduct of trade tests and certification.
Administering state-level vocational training schemes and scholarships for eligible trainees.

SCVT — State Council for Vocational Training

Some trades at ITIs may be affiliated with the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), which awards the State Trade Certificate (STC) upon successful completion of the trade test. SCVT-affiliated trades follow state-prescribed curricula and are recognised within the state for employment and further training purposes.
